@Ivan,
The first $100k being tax exempt is for the first 3 years right?

It's not a real savings, because when you pay yourself a salary, that salary is taxable at the income tax rate.

The only real way to reduce tax exposure is to buy investments/assets with your company and expense your profits that way - eg: buying your own office unit/building, paying office rent, etc.

Hi Ivan!

Congratulations!
I finally buckled down and started PPC 2 months ago (I have been doing organic sales for a while now) but last week all my zip/email submits for 3 different networks were scrubbed! What can you suggest I do now? Continue with zip/email submits targeting countries outside the US (I hear they are scrubbed less)? Are you running $1.00-$1.50 leads or higher ones? In short, anything you can enlighten me on profiting consistently from zip/email submits will be mucho appreciated!

Enoy your well deserved vacation!

Sole Prop does not give you the tax benefit that you should be having...

For example, Pte Ltd has a tax benefit whereby the first $100,000 of chargeable net profit is free whereas for sole prop you do not get this benefit...

Also for sole prop, you are paying your tax under personal income whereas for Pte Ltd you are paying it under corporate tax...

In my opinion, any profits above $100,000 you should go register a Pte Ltd, if not just go for sole prop because it can be quite a hassle to do tax reporting for Pte Ltd... But for the savings you get from Pte Ltd, its all worth it...

Hey Ivan,

Congrats in your new company, nice name by the way! :)

Can you or Desmond enlighten me on the difference between registering a sole proprietorship business and registering a company if we are doing it alone anyway? How much ($) does it take before we should consider getting a company?

Thanks! :)

hey thanks Desmond for the clarification....

And if you remember signing a W8 form? Its for tax reporting stating that you will not report tax in USA but do it yourself in your home country which for us is in Singapore...

I got further clarification from Dylan Loh ( Internet Guru) that it is taxable when your base of operations is in Singapore and income is received here in Singapore...

So... better be safe... dun get into trouble with the law... Its just ain't worth it...

yea... Me and Ivan already went through this. There will be no double taxation. But you have to pay tax in 1 country. And since tax is crazy at US, it is logical to do it in Singapore and also for the tax reliefs you can get.

I am Ivan's financial consultant... so if you need any information can ask me directly or ask from Ivan. Ivan should be quite pro now liao.

Congrats Bro! FINALLY after 2 months we got it done... now you are a CEO =D and doing business legally!
