Where Do You Want To Be 10 Years Down The Road?

April 01, 2008 By: Ivan Ong Category: Motivation 2 Comments →

If you notice recently, i have been talking a lot about dreams, goals and retirement and it seems more like a self help blog now then an Internet Marketing blog. haha I apologize for that.

The reason being me having so much thoughts about all these is because my girlfriend is graduating from University soon and she’s considering joining my friend, Desmond Ng,  at AXA to start her own business in the Financial Advisor industry.

She was confused as to whether she would be competent enough to take on the challenge and the rough roads that laid ahead of her if she decide to choose the road less traveled and wish to command a salary that’s different from what 80% of the people would receive.  She was choosing between finding a 9-5 job in the bank or starting her own business in AXA. We had a good talk and i remembered asking her this question.

Where D o You Want To Be 10 Years Down The Road?

She said she wanted to have her own BMW and live in her dream condominium and live a life that other can only dream.

Since she knew exactly where she want to be 10 years down the road and knew that working a 9-5 job will never bring her to where she wants to be. Then getting a job shouldn’t even be in her thoughts at all. If your job cannot bring you to where you want to be, then why even go for it?

I told her that she could get a job and start an Internet Business or a eBay Business at night when she’s off work. But she felt that an Online Business since too far fetched for her even though her boyfriend, which happens to be me, is carving a living and career out of the Internet.

Nevertheless, she chose to start her own business in AXA despite disapproval from her parents as well as the divine lot. I must applaud her for her bravery and courage to take the first step out towards success.

We have already set up our goals clearly and specifically what we want to achieve in short term, mid term and long term. You can view my goals here for my Internet Business & Options Trading.

What i want to stress here is that knowing exactly what you want to achieve in life is crucial to ultimate success. Know what you want and plan how you can achieve that goal. If you know a particular job cannot get you to where you want to be, then it really shouldn’t even be in your choice at all.

There’s like probably 101 ways of how you can go about making big in life and i think choosing to find a job and make someone rich should the the 102th choice.

Retire At Age 21?

March 31, 2008 By: Ivan Ong Category: Motivation No Comments →

Do you think this is possible? Retiring at the age of 21 and no longer having to work for another day in your life? You would probably think that its impossible unless that person struck lottery and won a few million dollars or inherited a huge sum of money from his parents.

In Singapore, what would you be doing at age of 21? For most people like you and me,we would still be studying in school and taking pocket money from our parents for our daily expenses. That’s the sad reality of life for the so called “adult” in Singapore.

I would say with the Internet, retiring at a young age has not only become possible, it has almost become too common. There are so many millionaire and billionaires created from the Internet and the age of them become a millionaire only gets younger and younger as technology continue to advance forward.

How old do you think the founder of Facebook is? His name is Mark Zuckerberg and he’s only 23 with a net worth of $700 Million dollars.

Want someone even younger? Donny Ouyang is a 16 year old CEO who reveals how he is earning over $6,500 a month!

Basically, i found all this wonderful and amazing facts from this website call RetireAt21.com

In this website, you can see many successful entrepreneurs exclusive interview with the owner of this website on their businesses. The youngest interviewee is just 13 years old and he’s earning so much more than what most of the working adults are earning.

Its amazing to see this little kid having such success and watching him in video. He’s really small and his voice probably hasn’t even break. haha.. you can check out this 13 year old kid call David Wilkinson at AffiliateDefined.com

I would highly recommend you to check out this website and get inspired by all the amazing facts that you’ll see. It definitely got me fired up and motivated to want to even succeed at a younger age. I’m already 22 this year. Not much time left for me to create an empire for myself.

Realizing Your Dreams

March 30, 2008 By: Ivan Ong Category: Motivation No Comments →

I attended a workshop yesterday regarding Robert Kiyosaki Secret Of The Rich. We played the Cash Flow 101 game which depicts our real life being trapped in the rat race, repeating our daily life again and again for 40 years.

There was one thing that the game master mention during his presentation about realizing your dreams. Then it suddenly struck upon me i realize how long i have not been reflecting upon my dreams.

I suppose everyone have dreams about what they want to achieve in life. Be it starting a successful business or be it having alot of money so that we can all enjoy financial freedom and time freedom. However, many people ended up still slogging their life away even after 65 and find themselves being unable to retire and live a life that they have always dream of.

I ponder upon this and realize that the reason behind this is because of this word call ACTION.

Just how many people are willing to take the first step out and take the necessary actions to achieve what they want in life? People are afraid of the uncertainty and the possibility of failure and thus they chose to find a “stable” 9-5 job and slog their life away, making their boss richer and richer.

I saw an interesting Japanese MTV about how 4 adults actually took the courage to take the first step out of their responsibility to come together to realize their childhood dream of forming a band.

I hope this post will allow you to really ponder about your dreams and allow you to take the necessary actions towards realizing your dreams. If you think that what you are currently doing wont allow you to realize your dreams. Then be brave and change your current lifestyle! Here’s an interesting quote for you to ponder on. :)

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. - Albert Einstein

My Dream is being able to earn my targeted income (SGD$30k) and not being restricted by my geographical location. That’s why i’m in Internet Marketing & Options Trading.

What about you? What’s your dream?

The Potential Of Uber Affiliate Marketing

March 07, 2008 By: Ivan Ong Category: Motivation, Internet Marketing No Comments →

OH MY GOD!!!!

I just saw something that’s super crazy. I actually chanced upon this website that shows how much the big guns affiliate marketer are earning on the Internet every month. Seems seriously crazy.

We have people like Paul from UberAffiliate.com earning $330,000 in a single month!! We also have mega affiliate like shoemoney from shoemoney.com holding a US$132,000 Google Adsense check.

The most stunning ever is having someone posting their online revenue that shows how he broke the $1000 PER HOUR mark!! Can you imagine making $1000 in one hour?!

You can check out all the checks from this site call s.eriously.com

Well, i suppose the lessons that i got from this website and seeing all these screen shots isn’t just WOW! How did they do it?! But this site allows me to see the true potential of Affiliate marketing. If there are people earning these kind of income. It must mean that its achievable to earn that kind of income with the same amount of time we all have.

I can’t believe making $1000 in one hour but it definitely shows that even making $1000 in one day is definitely much much achievable and to those big guns its probably easy.

If the potential of Affiliate Marketing is $330,000 a month, why can’t you achieve it?

Whenever you are down and out and feel like giving up. Just head over to S.eriously.com to get the motivation you need! Tell yourself you cannot give up until your checks are up there.

That will be my goal as well! :)

What Is An Education For??

March 06, 2008 By: Ivan Ong Category: Motivation 4 Comments →

Right… So that’s the question that i am going to answer today. Almost everyone under the education system has been brain washed and psycho-ed to study hard, get a good grade and eventually get a stable job and earn a good income. Then life will be good. So they studied hard, real hard and worked for another 30-40 years getting a pay increment of $200-$300 every year and are damn happy when they get promoted, added an additional $500-$1000 to their monthly income and managed to climb up the corporate ladder.

What have the education system done to all my friends? Who are struggling hard to do well in school, to get the so called first class honours only to have an additional starting pay of $200. ( This is for fresh grad in accountancy. Graduates get around $2,400 whereas first class get around $2,600) Why are they trying so hard just for $200 more every month? I cant blame them. Thats the way we are brought up in this society. When you have no money or career, people judge you by your results.

I have 8 good reasons why the education we are receiving in school is completely useless and why we shouldn’t strive so hard just to work and earn money for people.

  1. 99% of what you are studying is outdated and not longer used in the real world. I suppose once the textbook is even printed, almost 70% of what’s inside is no longer in use. That’s how fast things are changing.
  2. Working for people and making people richer is a no go. Why do you want to even work for people and help them get richer? Who are they to you? Why not use the 8 hours you have everyday and do something for yourself?
  3. Can you imagine how your life will be when you work? Waking up at 7am everyday for the next 40 years? oh on… how can anyone think about this and still want to get a job? Oh no oh no… What are these people even thinking?
  4. You get only 21 days of annual leave every year. You are a bird trapped in a cage! Why do you need laws and rules to decide how many days you can rest? Why do you need your boss to decide whether you can rest or not? Get real. You do not need anyone to tell you that. You control your life. Not your boss!!
  5. You can please your boss like crazy and don’t get a pay rise at all. That’s the cruel reality of life.
  6. What the company pays you is only about 10% of what you have earned for the company. Does anyone even know that? Why not work for yourself and get 100% of whatever you have earned all to yourself? Okie, maybe some to your mom and dad for supporting you.
  7. You’ll never get rich exchanging time for money. How much time do you have to exchange it for money? We all have limited time that we can work. So why limit how much money you can get by exchanging time for money? People say the sky’s the limit. But for people working, your time is the limit.
  8. Everyone wants to be a millionaire. Let’s calculate how you can become one by working. Let say you get a really good job and earns about $10,000 a month. That’s a lot isn’t it? To become a millionaire, you have to save ALL of your money for 100 months. That’s approximately 8 years+ So how can you become a millionaire? Find something to do that earns you more then $10,000 every month!

What are your thoughts on this? Leave your comment to tell me about it :)

The Highest Paying Job In The World?

January 28, 2008 By: Ivan Ong Category: Motivation 3 Comments →

Sales is the highest paid job in the world. That is so true. As long as there isn’t a cap to how much you can earn. The sky’s really the limit. There is no restriction to how much you can earn if you keep bringing in revenue for the company. This is as far as i am concerned, the fairest job in the world! You earn how much you worked for. Fair isn’t it?

Just last week, i attended my friend Desmond Ng prize presentation. He’s a financial consultant with AXA Singapore and he has just only got started 6 months ago. The Desmond that i saw 6 months ago was totally different. Today, he is a role model in AXA and has earned up to $28,000 in just 6 months. Was damn proud of him when he went up to receive his 3 prizes for the night. What’s more, he’s only a full time student studying in University. He did all these with only part time effort!

I believe that in any industry, as long as your mindset is correct and you are focused on what you want to achieve, you can definitely achieve your goals and live a life that you could only dream in the past.

If anyone is contemplating  of what job to do in future, i urge you to take up a job that has no limit to how much you can earn. You earn fully based on commission. Only then will you have to drive to push your limit further and earn more money! All these of course comes with sleepless nights, pain, hard work and sweat.

Do not be afraid to take the first step forward and say i’ll do it. This could very well be the one and only step that will change your life forever! :)

3 Invisible Factors To Success…

December 27, 2007 By: Ivan Ong Category: Personal Development, Motivation No Comments →

Have you ever wondered what’s stopping you from attaining success?

Its not the skills that you did not learn. Its not about the knowledge that you did not have. Its not about the brain that you have or the technology that you have or the environment that you live in.

I did not know about this as well. I always thought it was all the above mentioned that’s stopping me from attaining success.

But after hearing an audio from Stephen Pierce about the 3 factors to success, i realised that i had the wrong thinking along. It kept me thinking about what i have been doing along and i was moving on the wrong track.

I had personally talked to Stephen Pierce and he is a man of knowledge about the latest internet marketing updates and he is a very highly sought after internet marketing coach in the world.

(i’m on the right if you guys don’t know!)

Decided to add the audio clip here for all of you to hear as well so that you too can learn something from this short 11mins audio clip from Stephen Pierce. Enjoy!

Leave some comments to tell me how you feel after hearing this audio. :)

Is Internet Marketing Choking You?

December 18, 2007 By: Ivan Ong Category: blogging, Motivation, Internet Marketing 3 Comments →

Well, its blogging time for me. Actually i don’t know what to blog about so i’ll just try to type out whatever that comes to my mind so this post might be a bit crappy and useful so don’t mind me. :)

There’s really so much to learn and do in Internet Marketing that its really choking me. You have to constantly come up with new offers in new niches and you have to test and track them to see if they are profitable. On top of that, you have to continue to learn and read up to improve your knowledge and skills on writing better ads, choosing a good domain, creating a good landing page, eliminate non-converting keywords etc etc etc etc.

That’s the game of the online business. If you think that Internet Marketing is the place for you to earn quick and big bucks then you have choosen the wrong business to go into. Maybe buying the lottery ticket will suit your style more.

Making money online is possible, provided that you put in the necessary effort for you to be able to earn money online. Money doesn’t fall from the sky, you have to go and get it by putting in the required effort.

No Pain, No Gain! i”m sure you understand this phrase well enough and this should summarise all that i have just said previously.
