Paid Traffic Or Free Traffic?

Yeshhh! One more day and i’ll have finished my school exams! After which i’ll have a one month break from school to start working on the Internet again. :) Then i have plans to spend my Christmas in Hong Kong.. :)

Today, lets talk about Paid Traffic or Free Traffic, which traffic source is better and how you can use them at its maximum to boost your affiliate income online.

All along, i have been a disbeliever of free traffic. The reason is because it takes quite a while before you can even see some decent traffic coming in.. And what if… you spend 6 months doing SEO and it turns out this niche is a total flop? The conversion sucks and the money you earn ain’t cover all the sleepless nights and effort you put in? And what’s more, there this chance that you might get into the Google sandbox and your efforts will all be gone. That was my thinking in the past and realize how much time i have wasted thinking of this misconception.

The thing about free traffic is that its a long term passive income. Once you are at page 1 of Google for your keywords, it will most likely stay there for quite some time and you can expect some good amount of passive traffic coming into your website on COMPLETE autopilot. You do not have to worry about your ROI, you do not have to worry about getting Google slap, you do not have to worry if you are spending more then what you make because essentially, you are not spending anything at all. Sweet huh…

And the thing about finding a niche that suck, maybe i’m fortunate to be doing PPC in some sense where i can test offers and niches at lightning speed and i can weed out what’s converting and what’s not. In the past year or so, i have had several winning campaigns from Google Adwords and i have all the data of keywords that are converting and also the amount of traffic that you can expect to see when you are on first page of Google. This is good news because all the research has been done for me by PPC. I can now enter SEO with a niche and keywords in mind knowing that it’ll definitely be a winner. This already is a huge time saver for us PPC marketers because you already have an edge over your competitors because you know what keywords convert and you can target your SEO efforts towards that keyword. :)

Doing PPC also gives you an edge over your SEO competitors because your conversion skills are generally better then those of them. Simply because, you were once paying $$ to buy traffic and you have to make sure that your conversion is high for you to be profitable. You gotta squeeze every cent out of every visitors in order to give you an high ROI for your campaigns and that essentially trains us PPC marketers to be a good natural conversion master. I’m proud of that. In my SEO website, every visitors that comes to my site is worth $0.30! That’s a $0.30 revenue per click (epc).. Usually you’ll have to deduct that to your Cost Per Click (CPC) to find out your EPC but now i’m having 100% of that revenue to myself… I absolutely love that part.

The bad side of free traffic is that it takes a lot of effort and time to build up the traffic and also get good rankings on the search engine. Therefore, being a master of both paid and free traffic and you’ll be on your way to become a true Internet Super Affiliate. :)

Being a master of paid traffic allows you to command a sky high income in the shortest time possible and allows you to be also getting paid for conducting your market research for your SEO website. Isn’t that great?!

Being a master of free traffic allows you to have a lifelong stream of passive income from the free traffic and free traffic’s what makes your online income more stable and allowing you to worry free about your business.
