How Much Traffic Load Can Beyond Hosting Take?

Honestly, i aint sure myself too. But based on my PPV traffic stats, i’m sending close to 20,000 pops and clicks to my CPV Lab software and so far its working perfectly fine. No lag in my redirect and loading of my landing page.

With PPV traffic, since people usually get irritated with pop up and will close them almost immediately, you definitely need to catch their attention even before they take a glance and hover their mouse to the cross button. That’ll take about 3 seconds actually.

That’s the reason why you’ll need your server to be super fast and you really really can’t afford to wait for your website to take 2 seconds to load and redirect the page.

My personal experience is that i was using CPV Lab with my shared hosting baby account with Hostgator. It like uber cheap. Costing only $10/mth and you can have unlimited bandwidth and unlimited domains to host. Great isn’t it? Its great when you are not driving huge traffic to your site. And CPV Lab is actually pretty heavy on the data because there’s like charts and stats that they need to process as well. Worse still if you are using Prosper 202.

All along i didn’t find anything amiss with my shared hosting account and i thought it worked great. It was not until when i started driving about 5000 pops and more a day. I actually started to notice a slight dip in my ROI. But i thought it was probably just a bad day or bad week.

Then one day, i saw my traffic continue coming in, but my cpa network didn’t register any clicks at all. Weird huh? And upon investigation, my redirect completely stopped. It was not redirecting and all it showed was a blank page.

My server had gone down. What the hell… I had to paused all my traffic immediately to avoid losing more money.

It was only then that i realize how important it is to have a good hosting server when you start to drive more and more traffic. You not only need a fast server but also a reliable one. One that can guarantee a 99.99% uptime and have a 24/7 live support to assist you in any problems along the way.

I spoke to Robert Matthews, the creator of CPV Lab, and he recommended Beyond Hosting VPS server. It seems that one of their team members is driving up to 250,000 pops a day to Beyond Hosting and everything still works fine. And he further explained that if the server lags, you are essentially throwing money and ROI down the drain. So even if Beyond Hosting is slightly more expensive than the usual VPS out there in the industry, but the reliability and the speed will pay for itself in time to come.

I then upgraded my server from Hostgator to Beyond Hosting which cost US$70/mth (including cpanel subscription fees), which is actually 7 times more than what i used to be paying for.

However, i must say that this is probably the best decision i have ever made in my Internet career so far because i have seen huge jump in my conversion rate and that i do not have to worry about driving more traffic if my server can take it because i know i’m covered by Beyond Hosting VPS server.

My take to you is that if you are doing PPV traffic and is using a shared hosting to host your CPV Lab or any tracking software or landing page, i urge you to take the first step out and upgrade your server to at least a VPS, or a dedicate if you can afford them.

Hey man,

I also read the post about vps on beyond hosting at ppvplaybook. I currently am not inclined to get one, though when I get a good amount of traffic or or when I get my feet really wet in ppv, I guess I have to go with vps…
