Selecting Offers For PPV Traffic

I get asked this question quite often and that’s how do i select offers for PPV Traffic. With so many offers floating (EWA has got 4000 over offers), how can we drill down into niches and then offer that might stand a better chance of profiting and be a winner?

Here’s what i would do:

1) Looking at CPA Network top converting offers for contextual traffic specifically.

If you cant find them, ask your manager to run a report for you. For example, i ask my manager at W4 to do it for me and here’s what she send me via email a few days back.topoffers

this will give you a rough idea of what other contextual publishers and running, the conversion rate and the average epc that they are doing. This will help you drill down on the offers that you can choose to run your offers on.

Looking at how things are, CPA networks all have their top offers readily available on their interface like C2M, EWA and ECM all have their top offers displayed either on their forum or on platform.

2) Look at alexa top sites – http://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries/US

The link above will show you the top 100 websites in Alexa. Taking a quick look at the top 100, i manage to find some sites that looks pretty interesting.

If i din remember wrongly, there’s actually ALOT of offers that’s in the Apple niche, be it iPhone, iMac, iPad, there’s offers on almost every product of Apple. What if you could bid on Apple.com and pop your offers over Apple visitors stating that you could get a iPhone 4 for free? Could that kinda tempt the highly targeted Apple fan lover to put in their email/zip to find out a bit more? You get the idea.

Groupon recently just rejected Google $6 billion dollar offer and i think that’s pure madness. A website for $6 billion. You can roughly estimate the amount of traffic that Groupon is receiving on a minute daily. haha Groupon can be considered as USA largest coupon site and you know from this that Coupon itself is a huge niche.

There are many coupons offer on cpa network that’s promoting stuff like grocery coupons, car gas coupons, giving out free stuff and free samples cpa offers. People all like free stuff. Target those highly motivated freebies seekers and you’ll see yourself making some nice profits with such offers.

If you could spend some cash, rotate offers around and find a winner, you’ll be laughing to the bank with such high traffic sites.

(The above are just for illustration purposes and is not an indication that i am running them or actually profit from them)

3) Ask your PPV network to send you a top traffic url/keywords list.

Trafficvance actually has an excel file of the top 500 or 5000 urls that active advertisers are bidding on currently and live. These are urls/keywords that people are making money on and has the most traffic inventory in Trafficvance.

MediaTraffic also has such data and you could request it from them. If anyone is interested in getting a copy of the top 5000 urls/keywords in Trafficvance, you can either leave a comment below or drop me a email using the contact me form located at the top tabs.

You can scan these top listings and locate an offer that matches with the top urls. For example, i see that gaming niche is pretty good and there’s a ton of traffic coming from these sites. But be careful, these sites have A TON of traffic and if you are not carefully, you’ll burn a hole in your pocket before you know it. Always set a daily budget and do not lose more than you can afford.

Godaddy.com is a domain name register company and a hosting company, what if u could do up a landing page that say Godaddy sucks! Try out Hostgator for a $1 trial and you’ll know why Godaddy sucked completely. You must just get some hostgator sales.. :)

4) Choosing offers that are popular and have high traffic.

There are offers of well known sites that are looking to drive more traffic and leads to their website via CPA network. These are often good offers to aim for and try because they are relatively well known and popular. People who loves coffee, when they see a pop from Gevalia coffee, will not turn them off but instead prompt them to look further into your pop.

Someone who is online searching to print business cards and suddenly see a Vistaprint pop that says. Get 100 free business card on your first purchase with Vistaprint.People feel comfortable purchasing or dealing with big and reputable sites because they are reliable and have a low risk of being scammed or their credit card info being stolen.

That’s about all that i can think of on how i go about selecting offers for ppv traffic. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions or suggestions, do not hesitate to leave a comment below.
